“ Simply put, it's the best sushi spot in town! Their happy hour is great too. Excellent service with great ambiance. ”
“ The sushi was great. We happened to hit a happy hour Friday for an early dinner. We will definitely be back. ”
“ Early Saturday evening!! Open seating. Delicious and plump Gyoza!! The two rolls we got were excellent!! Rising Sun is just a little sweet and soo yummy!! Yokozuna has fresh slices of jalapeños- a great zing of heat!! Also had the Miso Cod - wonderful!! The Miso Cod had a buttery texture!! Excellent!! Great and speedy service! ”
“ The Huli Huli chicken was delicious. Sweet and savory but not sticky as a sauce like teriyaki. Tender and chopped into strips, I enjoyed it for dinner with a side of rice and iced green tea. Pick-up was quick and easy! Thank you to Yonse'si team for their friendly service and delicious food. ”
“ Staff/Owners were very friendly and accommodating. Sushi was top notch, so yummy.! Would definitely go back for nigiri and shashimi. ”
“ I was impressed. The sashimi was especially fantastic! All of the rolls were good. This place and Hana Matsuri are my two favorite places to get sushi in the area. The place itself is small, I like the decorations and overall vibe. It's kind of hipster, with the decor, reggae music and cost. You can tell the people who work there care about your experience. The food came out well spread out, so you continuously eat. Our waitress was nice and always had a smile. I will be back & I definitely recommend you try it. Happy eating!! ”
“ I decided to explore a new sushi shop in my area. I am so glad I did. It's surprising how often I have passed by this place without noticing it. Tucked next to a popular local dive bar, this small restaurant is truly a hidden gem. The service was prompt and friendly. The sushi chef checked in on us and was exceptionally kind. The sushi itself was outstanding! The pieces were generously sized and incredibly fresh. My friend's roll was also delicious. I definitely plan to return and sample more of their rolls and entrees. Don't overlook this spot for some fantastic sushi! ”
“ Was on the hunt for good sushi and came across Yonsei and their good reviews. We decided to give them a try to see if they might become our new go-to sushi spot. We were impressed. First thing I noticed was that the menu wasn't super extensive, but was hoping that was because the fish was all fresh. We ordered several rolls (red samarai, Ozeki, and shrimp tempura with cucumber added), miso soup, and the bacon fried rice. The rolls were very good and the fish all tasted fresh (not watery from being previously frozen). I personally liked the Red Samarai the best. The thin-sliced jalapeños on top added a nice crunch and contrast of flavor. The miso was very good too. I thought the bacon rice was good, but I don't think I'd order it again. The bacon was thick and smoky and there were a few rinds that were a bit too tough to eat. It's definitely a nice side to the meal though. The place is fairly small, but it was busy when we were there and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The staff was very friendly. The woman behind the counter expoing was ontop of her stuff. They were in the weeds, but she never seemed flustered and kept a good demeanor for the guests sitting right in front at the sushi bar. That impressed me. She also labeled everything so nice on the packaging which I really appreciate. It's nice not having to figure out which roll is which. The special rolls are slightly more $ than average, but I'll pay an extra $5 or so to get good quality fish. I like their add-on options, but if I had a recommendation - can you offer spicy mayo as a side? We'll definitely be back and it's a small business I highly recommend trying out. ”
